24 hours of Improvisation!!!! This Weekend!

USS Rock N Roll is proud to be participating in the Second City That Never Sleeps. This is a 24 hour improv performance for charity. USS Rock N Roll will be doing the 6:30am to 9:30am shift. Taking the stage with improvisers who at that point have been on stage for 9 HOURS!
Here are the details for the entire event:
Come join us December 4-5, 9:30 PM-9:30 PM. as some of the funniest people in Los Angeles push their skills and good health to the limit for a great cause.
The Second City That Never Sleeps Hollywood is a 24-hour improv performance by some of Los Angeles’s finest improv/sketch comics to benefit a scholarship fund for the kids of Hollywood Arts, a homeless service provider and education center serving 18-25 year-olds in Hollywood. Improvisers doing great things – Jack McBrayer

Congratulations to iO favorite JACK MCBRAYER!!! for his recent Emmy nomination for his role as Kenny on 30 Rock.
The very first show I ever saw at iO Chicago was a group called Carl and the Passions, in which McBrayer was playing. I will never forget the move that made me adore him so. He came on as a waiter for just a bit part. But instead of walking on stage he skipped. And then to leave, he skipped in reverse. To this day he is one of my favorite players because of the fact that he always looks like he’s having so much fun on stage. The man surprises himself with how much fun he can have and that fun is infectious. He’s definitely a person you would pick for stardom.
The above clip is of him from Conan a few nights ago. Everyone wants to claim the darling as their own. I’ve been trying to get an interview with him for weeks now, but the blog isn’t big enough yet for an Emmy winner. Soon people… soon.
You can watch Jack improvise most Monday nights when he’s in Los Angeles on the iO West mainstage with the Armando. Do yourself a favor and come get a piece of this man before he’s too famous to waste his time playing make-em ups.
