30,000 Kilohertz of Sound

There’s a group in NYC doing something pretty interesting. 30,000 kHZ of Sound is doing the long-form THE BAT at The Magnet Theater. The interesting part is that they’re taping their shows and then introducing sound effects. The end product is something like an old radio show.
Listening to a few of their radio posts reveals an interesting study in improv. Their sets leave little room for talking over each other because it’s a completely vocal based medium. A lot of jokes can come from establing the environment and in general establishing the environment right away is pretty important since listeners are totally “in the dark.” (I rule)
here’s a snipit from one of their shows for you - 30,000 kHZ
Their shows are definitely worth a listen while tooling around the internet.
