Found a San Francisco blog on improv at www.improvnotebook.com. There are two guys writing it from BATS theater, Rich and William who seem to have been around the scene for a long time. Their insight is welcome and very different from my own which I really love. I am very excited about all the new internet time improv is getting these days. Seems improv blogs are popping up everywhere. I highly support the many voices from coast to coast sharing ideas and geeking out on this thing we all love so much.
This week the blogs’ authors are working with Keith Johnstone which is interesting stuff that doesn’t get discussed much on our blog. They’ve also got exercises, thoughts, and interviews. Check out Rich Cox and William Hall at Improvnotebook.
Rich and William, the co-authors of Improv Notebook, teach and perform improv in San Francisco and around the world. Their students and clients range from people with a passing interest to dedicated performers and from small groups to large global companies.
This blog is a collection of articles and thoughts loosely based around their improv and training work and improv in general. It is like the improv notebook that most improvisers carry around with thoughts, ideas, revolations, sketches, drawings, and other insights. As the title says, doodles, notes and insane thoughts…. mostly about improv.
