Sigur Rós

Over the last few months, I’ve been obsessed with music from Iceland, in particular a composer who combines digital elements with strings named Johann Johannson and more specifically, Sigur Rós. I really couldn’t recommend the album, Takk, more. It’s simply beautiful, full of swirling sounds and strings and driving melodies. You won’t understand a word, but it doesn’t matter. It’s still a compelling listen. Here’s a song from it performed live in a documentary about them called, Heima, that came out a few years ago.
